Where to Work in Buenos Aires: Coworking Spaces to Explore

Buenos Aires can become more than the backdrop to your working day. A shared desk gives you a reason to leave the apartment, find a different rhythm and close the laptop somewhere other than your kitchen table. For a first shortlist, explore La Maquinita in Palermo Soho, AreaTres on El Salvador, HUERTA in Palermo Hollywood and WeWork at Corrientes 800. Each offers a different starting point for building a week around your actual work.

This guide brings together locations and workspace formats published by the operators. It is a shortlist to investigate, not a ranking or a promise of available desks. Choose two places that fit your calendar and ask about access before planning a visit. The useful question is simple: where could you picture spending an ordinary Tuesday?

At Niceto Vega 4736, La Maquinita Palermo Soho lists shared workstations, private offices, meeting rooms and call rooms. That range gives you several arrangements to ask about: a place among other people, a separate office for a team, or a room for a particular conversation.

Start by describing your workday. If you take several calls, ask how call rooms are booked and whether they are included in the plan you are considering. If you mainly write or design, ask how shared seating works and whether you can visit before committing. A room appearing on the venue page does not tell you whether it will be free at your meeting time.

AreaTres lists its Palermo address at El Salvador 5218. Its published membership formats include flex hot desks, fixed desks and private offices. A flexible desk may suit a week that changes; a fixed desk is worth investigating if you want a regular place to return to. Confirm how each format works at this location.

Picture what you carry in your bag each morning. A laptop-only setup and a setup with a monitor have different requirements. Ask about equipment, storage and what can remain at a fixed desk. For occasional visits, ask whether the operator offers an access option for your dates rather than assuming that a flexible membership is a day pass.

HUERTA lists Dorrego 2133 and Humboldt 1967 in Palermo Hollywood, alongside a separate Puerto Retiro location. The operator publishes individual memberships, offices and meeting or event spaces. For this shortlist, start with the two Hollywood addresses and ask which location and membership match the way you want to work.

Having two addresses to investigate makes the journey part of the choice. Map each one from the apartment you are actually considering, at the time you expect to leave. Then confirm the services and room-booking rules at that particular site. Do not assume that every membership includes every space shown across the operator's website.

WeWork Corrientes 800 gives you a city-centre alternative at Corrientes 800, in San Nicolás/Microcentro. The building page presents dedicated desks, private offices and monthly All Access memberships. Compare the current terms with your intended number of visits and confirm that the membership you choose permits access to this building.

This is a useful candidate if your plans already bring you into the centre, but an address alone cannot decide your routine. Ask about access at your working hours, reservation requirements and meeting-room charges. Staffed reception hours and membership access are different questions, especially when your team works in another time zone.

Give each candidate the same brief: your dates, usual working hours, number of calls and whether you need a fixed desk or occasional access. That makes the answers easier to compare than four general requests for membership information. Ask for a current quote in writing, including currency, taxes, commitment, cancellation terms and any room charges.

There is no universal winner here. A workspace can look inviting and still be inconvenient for late calls or equipment. If possible, ask about a visit or a short trial, then test the parts of your day that matter: taking a call, concentrating for a longer session and getting there from home.

The best part of a workable routine is what it leaves room for: a walk after work, dinner without another commute, or an evening when the city feels like somewhere you live. Our Buenos Aires neighborhood guide for remote workers helps you think about the surrounding routine; choosing your first neighborhood gives you another way to narrow the search.

Keep housing and coworking in the same budget. Use the monthly rental cost guide to distinguish recurring charges from upfront amounts, then add the workspace quote and travel. Explore apartments on BeTrusty with your working week in mind, and confirm the home's workspace and the journey separately before choosing your base.
